From Families Just Like Yours

“I was terrified to start. Having every week laid out meant I could just say yes — and figure it out alongside the kids.”
— A Kids By Nature family
“Ten years in and this gave our year its backbone back. The kids ask what the Big Question is before I’ve even had coffee.”
— A Kids By Nature family
“We’re in a third-floor unit and never once felt left out. By Term 3 we had a worm farm and a windowsill jungle.”

The Questions Every Parent Asks

How do I get it once I’ve paid?

Straight away. The moment checkout completes you’ll get an email with your print-at-home PDF and web access. It’s a one-time payment — no subscription, no auto-renew.

I’ve honestly never homeschooled. Will I cope?

Yes — this is one of the gentlest places to start. It opens with a plain-English teaching manual (the anatomy of a week, a 15-minute prep routine, a fully worked sample week), and every activity gives you step-by-step instructions plus words you can borrow when you’re not sure what to say. Nothing is assumed.

We’re old hands. Is it going to feel too basic?

Not at all. Experienced families use it as a seasonal backbone, then go deeper with the Bigger Hands extensions, the “talk about it” discussion prompts, the “make it harder” options on every activity, and the curriculum codes on every week.

We don’t have a garden — is it still worth it?

Absolutely. Every hands-on activity has a balcony, courtyard or windowsill version. A few pots, a worm bin and a sunny window are plenty to begin.

Which ages and abilities is it for?

Roughly Foundation to Year 6 (ages 5–13). Each activity splits into Little Hands and Bigger Hands, so mixed-age, mixed-ability families learn the same theme at their own level.

Will it help me prove learning for registration?

It’s built to. Every week lists curriculum codes, and you get a weekly record template plus the nature-journal-as-portfolio approach. Always check your own state/territory’s current rules — this is a teaching resource, not legal advice.

Can I buy for a co-op, or as a gift?

Yes — just set the quantity in your cart before checkout. Planning something bigger for a group? Get in touch and we’ll look after you.

By Next Monday, You Could Be Outside.

Skip the Sunday-night scramble. Open The Nature-Led Year, step out the door, and let the season do the teaching with you.
