🌱 What’s in the Pack

5 packs of seasonal seeds

Open-pollinated and untreated, hand-picked for what grows best in spring. We choose the varieties by season and reliability, so your family always gets generous, kid-friendly growers suited to the time of year — plus a printed story card for each one.

🫘 Heirloom & Untreated Seed

Every seed we send is heirloom or untreated — open-pollinated, non-GMO, and chosen for genuine flavour, character and reliability. These are the varieties gardeners have saved and handed down for generations: traditional tastes and one-of-a-kind types you won't find on a supermarket shelf. And because open-pollinated seed breeds true, your kids can save it and grow the very same plants next year — and for years to come.

🪴 How to Grow Them

  1. 1Fill pots or a garden bed with seed-raising mix and water it before sowing.
  2. 2Plant each seed twice as deep as it is wide — the bigger seeds are perfect for little fingers.
  3. 3Keep the soil damp (not soggy) and in a sunny spot; most seeds show in 7–14 days.
  4. 4Once seedlings have two sets of leaves, thin or transplant them to their final homes.
  5. 5Water in the morning, and stake the tall growers with a cane as they take off.

The pack includes the full printed growing guide, with a sowing calendar for your climate.

✏️ Learning Ideas

  • Keep a germination diary — draw each pot every two days and count the days to sprout.
  • Run a fair test: same seeds, one pot in sun and one in shade. Predict first!
  • Sit by a flowering plant for ten minutes and tally every visitor — who comes to the flowers?
  • Measure your tallest plant every Monday and graph the race to the roof.

Every activity comes as a printed sheet in the pack — science, maths and journalling, disguised as gardening.

🍽️ Once They’re Grown

  • Harvest whatever’s ripe for lunches the kids grew themselves.
  • Add a handful of home-grown leaves or edible petals to a salad — dinner-table wow guaranteed.
  • Let one plant go to seed: harvest the heads, count and save the seeds for next year, and leave some for the birds.
  • Pick a posy of your flowers for the kitchen table (picking makes them flower more).
